The house originally was a family home and housed a retinue of servants, coach-driver and gardeners etc - today it could provide accommodation for fifty people. The original owner was reputed to have owned the local railway at the time of building (1871) and had a private walkway into the rail station at Eden Park which exists today.
The site has a gentle slope and is situated in the Greater London area adjoining the Bromley Green Belt. Having recreation grounds and parklands to the North and Eastern aspect.
